  • Duration: 90 minutes

  • Delivery Options: In person or virtual

  • Ideal Audience: All employees, supervisors and leaders (anyone who's ever experienced stress! 😉)

Stress impacts us all, and in today’s fast-paced world, it’s often considered part of the job. But when stress builds unchecked, it can escalate into anxiety — leaving everyday life feeling unmanageable and draining the joy from the activities we once loved. Because everyone responds to stress differently, the signs of anxiety in ourselves or in colleagues can be subtle, and too often they go unnoticed until the situation becomes critical.

This session takes a closer look at how stress and anxiety show up in the workplace and beyond. We’ll explore what’s normal, what’s not, and how to recognize the difference. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the unique ways stress impacts both mind and body, from cognitive function and decision-making to relationships and overall performance. We’ll unpack why anxiety can be difficult to spot in co-workers, and how stigma often prevents people from reaching out for support.

Most importantly, this session emphasizes action. You’ll learn evidence-based strategies to regulate stress before it reaches a boiling point, strengthen resilience over the long term, and set healthy boundaries that protect your own well-being. Through relatable real-world examples and practical tools, participants will discover how to take charge of stress in their own lives while also creating a more supportive environment for others.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with greater confidence to manage stress effectively, respond to anxiety with compassion and clarity, and contribute to a workplace culture that values mental health as much as performance.

Key Learning Outcomes for Participants:

  • Understand the difference between everyday stress and problematic anxiety.

  • Recognize how stress and anxiety affect thinking, behaviour, and performance.

  • Spot the subtle signs that a co-worker may be struggling.

  • Apply practical, evidence-based strategies to reduce stress and build resilience.

  • Set healthy boundaries that protect your well-being while supporting others.

  • Break down stigma that prevents open discussion of stress and anxiety.
